Air China overview
Air China was established in 1988 and is the national flag carrier of the People's Republic of China. It is majority-controlled by the state-owned China National Aviation Holding (Air China Group), with Cathay Pacific holding a significant minority stake. It joined Star Alliance in 2007 and operates a large fleet of more than 500 aircraft.
Its main hub is Beijing Capital International Airport, with further hubs at Beijing Daxing and at Chengdu's Shuangliu and Tianfu airports. Air China serves more than 200 destinations. Long-haul routes include Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, Toronto and Vancouver in North America, and a wide spread of European cities including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich and Madrid, as well as Middle Eastern points such as Dubai and Riyadh.
