Aeromexico overview
Aeromexico traces its origins to 1934 and is Mexico's flag carrier. After a restructuring that began in 2020, its parent Grupo Aeromexico returned to public markets in November 2025 with listings in New York and Mexico City. Delta Air Lines holds a minority stake of about 20%, and the two airlines have a long-running joint cooperation agreement; a US appeals court vacated a DOT order to unwind it in August 2026.
The mainline fleet of roughly 130 or more aircraft centres on Boeing 737 jets for regional flying and Boeing 787 Dreamliners for long-haul routes, with Embraer jets flown by its regional arm Aeromexico Connect. From its Mexico City hub, with secondary hubs at Guadalajara and Monterrey, it serves Mexican cities, many US and Canadian gateways, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
