Airports and getting into town

Western Sydney International, opening October 25, 2026, will initially rely on road and bus access, with the rail link to follow later.

Spring (September–November) and autumn (March–May) bring warm, settled weather that's ideal for coastal walks, while summer (December–February) is peak beach season, crowned by the New Year's Eve fireworks over the harbor and the Sydney Festival in January.
