Air Transat overview
Air Transat was founded in 1986 and is owned by Montreal-based tour operator Transat A.T. It formed a joint venture with Porter Airlines in 2023. In spring 2026 it suspended its remaining US flights, to Florida, citing weaker demand, and redeployed aircraft to Caribbean, Latin American and transatlantic leisure routes.
The airline flies an all-Airbus fleet of about 40 aircraft, made up of A321 and A321LR narrowbodies and A330 widebodies, with A321XLRs on order. Aircraft have Club and Economy cabins. From Montreal, Toronto and Quebec City it serves about 60 destinations, many of them seasonal.
