Vueling was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Viladecans, near Barcelona. It has been controlled by International Airlines Group (IAG), parent of British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus, since 2013. Vueling is not a oneworld member, but its Vueling Club programme uses Avios.
