Royal Air Maroc overview
Royal Air Maroc was formed in 1953 by merging two Moroccan airlines and took its current name in 1957. It is owned by the Moroccan state and is one of Africa's larger airlines. It joined oneworld on 1 April 2020.
The fleet of roughly 60 aircraft includes Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul routes, Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 jets, and Embraer regional aircraft. The airline plans major fleet growth over the next decade. From Casablanca it serves a large network across West and North Africa and Europe, flies to the Middle East, and has several routes to North America, including New York, Washington, Miami, Montreal, Toronto and, from June 2026, Los Angeles.
