Breeze Airways was founded in 2018 by JetBlue founder David Neeleman and began flying in May 2021. It focuses on nonstop routes between secondary US airports that lack direct service, and in 2026 it began its first international flights to Mexico and the Caribbean.
Breeze now flies an all-Airbus A220-300 fleet of roughly 55 to 60 aircraft after retiring its Embraer jets. The A220s have a premium Breeze Ascent cabin plus economy seating.
