Aer Lingus overview
Aer Lingus was founded in 1936 as Ireland's national airline. It became part of International Airlines Group (IAG), alongside British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, in 2015. It left the oneworld alliance in 2007 and is not currently a member of any alliance, though it codeshares with carriers in all three.
The airline operates an all-Airbus fleet of around 60 aircraft, using A330 widebodies and long-range A321neo aircraft on transatlantic routes. Long-haul flights offer Economy and a lie-flat Business cabin; the airline has announced a Premium Economy cabin on retrofitted A330s from 2027. Its network links Dublin with the UK, continental Europe and more than 20 North American cities.
